The great northern lights seeking tour for Jens 70th year on the big blue planet has come to an end and I have no title, this I think is because I am not entirely sure for a change what to say. On this holiday like all holidays, we were provided with all manner insights into culture, sociology, philosophy, economics, environment and I think most of all History, and I mean History with a capital “H” because this is our guide to where we are, how we got here and where we are headed. But hang on, holidays are meant to be fun so it doesn’t pay to be too analytical better to look through less judgmental and critical eyes enjoy the moment and come away with a greater appreciation for life in the European antipodes.

Singapore, Italy, San Marino, Croatia, England, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Thailand. From 4 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius from 34 degrees South to 70 degrees North it’s been a lot to take in, at times hard work (walking) at times stressful (airports and car hire), but ultimately it’s been thought provoking and a lot of fun. Would we do it again. From my perspective, yes but maybe in smaller chunks and next time and with a smaller bag.
